“Super Bowl Weekend”

  , Bowie
My sister-in-law, my son and I traveled to New Orleans from Baltimore for the Super Bowl. After hearing about all of the hotels in New Orleans being sold out, we opted to stay at the Days Inn in Picayune - a one hour drive from New Orleans. We paid $209/night and stayed for 2 nights. We needed a place to stay with two beds, a pull out couch and a shower. When we got there we found out that there was no couch and the room (which was advertised as sleeping 6), only slept 4. We are all family and we made the best of it and it was fine - but it was posted on Days Inn's website as sleeping 6 and the hotel clerk did nothing to compensate us for their mistake.. I guess they realized that we were stuck and needed we were at their mercy, as all other rooms were booked by then. We had two beds and a shower, and would not let the condition of the room or the bed situation ruin our weekend. We spent most of our time in New Orleans and only spent about 10 hours during the two day trip actually in the room. I thought the price was extreme for the conditions of hotel and the room. The free breakfast included eggos, english muffins and bad coffee. I should have realized that there was a reason they had a vacancy three days before the Super Bowl. Overall we had a great trip and the RAVENS WON!! i GIVE MY AWAY WEEKEND A 10 AND MY STAY A THE DAYS INN A 2.
