“This particular property has seen better "days". I stopped...”

  , Omaha, Nebraska
This particular property has seen better "days". I stopped here on the way home after a long drive. Needless to say, I was not too picky as to where I slept, as it would only be a few hours. I choose a brand i thought would be comfortable and clean for a very short stay. It was anything but that. I had to use a flying leap kick to get the door open (the front desk lady said it might be a little stuck). Upon opening the door to the room, I immediately was met with an aroma that was anything but fresh or nice smelling. In fact, I was sure something was dead or had died in there and was left for a quite a long time. I left the door open for a while to attempt to air out the room. I cranked on the ac to cool the room off a bit, but it seemed that the air only enhanced the decaying smell of the room. Once I overcame the smell, I decided to go to bed, out of safety I decided to keep all of my clothes on and not lay my head on the pillow. I was sure it had some creepy crawlies on it. Most of the night, that I attempted to sleep, I was awoken by the feeling that some meth head was gonna kick down my door and turn the room inside out looking for his "fix'. Luckily that didnt happen that night. In the early AM, I brushed myself off and proceeded to check out. When I checked in, the lady mentioned that they had a good continental breakfast in the morning and recommended that I stop in before hitting the road. I was actually in need of some good coffee and some sustenance to kick my day off, after waiting all night for charlie crack head to kick down my door. I proceeded to the breakfast area, where I served myself some hot coffee. After the first sip, I realized they recycled the coffee grounds form two weeks ago and obviously used a sweaty athletic sock for the filtering. I thought I would grab a quick something to eat and pick up a coffee on the road. Well my choices were white or wheat bread. Although I had the use of a toaster, I had my choice of strawberry jam, grape jelly and peanut butter. After my sip of coffee and one look at my breakfast options, I quickly exited the lobby and proceeded to McDonalds a few blocks away. And that concluded my Days Inn experience. Arent you glad I shared?
