“Started off great - but then at a price. At check in ...”

Started off great - but then at a price. At check in - which we appreciated GREATLY for an early check in - as we were in desperate need of sleep! The 3 (?) keys given to us for our room did not work. The door was not shut completely and handle/scanner was barely on the door! The "housecleaning gal" opened it with no issues! OK. After some shut eye, we wanted to grab a hot meal - somewhere - as it was FREEZING & windy! We came back to none of the cards working again - this time with all of our stuff in the room - not even 7 pm! An hour and a half later we were in a different room. The tech that showed up to fix the "scanner/handle" had one swipe luck with NEW BATTERIES. THANK GOD! He swiped the cards numerous times and could not get the door to open again - but all we needed was once. The gal working in the office at this time was AWESOME! But when she told me that the gal that was there at check in ( the original complaint) was the GM - WHOA! That is NOT acceptable customer service - EVER! They comped 40$ off bill - but so not worth it - and I am sure the other folks that wanted breakfast during the "scheduled" time and did not get it wrote a nice letter too - as far as I know 8:30 falls between 7 and 9 ????
