“The worst stay ever, anywhere.”

  , Cambridge
I want to preface this review with stating that the two women at the front desk during my check in were perfectly lovely and professional, and not part of the issue. The house keeping and PROPERTY MANAGER of this horrible place should be ashamed. I am NOT the first person to write an awful review for this place, and if all other options in New Orleans had not been filled, I would have heeded the warnings, And it retrospect, I should have slept in my car.I walked into the room and was greeted by the stench of the two cheap air fresheners(one behind the TV and one plugged into the wall) and the rotten oder of the dead rats they were trying to cover up. When something dies in the walls and it smells like rotting flesh, you close the room, NOT try to cover it up with glade plug ins. It was an awful, truly awful way to meet the room you're supposed to sleep in.After adjusting to the smell of the room, and realizing that cleanliness was not this managers top priority, I decided to see what the mattress had to offer. What it had, upon removing the sheets, were gigantic red stains that seemed to trickle down the side of the thing. I know times are tough, but it's not okay to throw out a mattress after someone gets knifed on it.After discovering the Charles Manson style stains, I decided it was best for me to check the sheets and towels. LOW AND BEHOLD! Stains! There were large gray smudges on one towel, and all three pillows on one bed had stains, most of which looked like old mildew stains, but a couple of them, I don't know...While I'm on the subject of cleanliness, lets talk about the bathroom. Big orange stains on the toilet bowl, the old soap of many past guests on the tray in the shower. Lovely. Oh, there were three bugs in the bathroom too. Your house keeping staff HAS to vacuum after every guest, not just when they feel like it.There was crap from the in all of the edges, which by now I shouldn't have noticed, but something drew my eyes to the carpet. That something was THREE dead fly's. One fly and it could be a fluke, three means no vacuuming.Quality: The bath ran when the shower ran, producing low pressure. Painted the door trip using spray paint, leaving nice stains on the door. The lamp shade had holes in it. No remote for the TV. More bugs. There was a french fry in the AC unit by the window. The worst part?Because they could get away with it, they charged me $450! at a Days Inn!Never, EVER again. I just wish I had more characters
