“The Room of Stains”

OMG!!!! I arrived at 12:15am (the following morning after rsvp) and initially asked for a prorated amt for checking in later than expected, the clerk said, "no, it does not matter what time you check in, you still have to pay for the full day". I said ok and headed to my room. When I arrived to my room I was greeted with stains on the curtain, bed spread, sheets, bed skirt and the counter tops in the bathroom. I then started paying more attention to room 206 and noticed that there was a hole in the bed spread, stains on the chair, splattered stains in the bath tub and the fridge was on but was hotter than the room's temperature. I was exhausted and called to the front desk to request a clean cover so that I can sleep in the chair, just for the night and I was out of there. The clerk said that housekeeping was off duty. So I asked for some cleaning supplies. The clerk asked, "what for". I told him to clean the tub and other things. He apologized and said that housekeeping will return at 9AM. I asked what can he do to make my experience more enjoyable. He said that he could reimburse me only if I checked out. WTH!!! It was 12:30AM in a town that I was not from..... where they do that at????? Oh, there. Heated, but level-headed I kept my socks on while I took a shower and met up with my other parties at their hotel, which was the Drury Plaza off Walnut.... ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! As you could of imagined, that's where I end up spending the night. I returned back to the room and gathered my things to check out. I took pictures (would love to send all of them to the head quaters) and headed to the front desk. I asked the clerk again, what could he do for my room that did not suit my traveling needs and he said, "you were the same one that asked for discount last night", with a smile...." I cannot do anything for you". I took a deep breathe and said sir, im not asking you to compensate for my late arrival, we are done with that. I am talking about the living situation in room 206. I ran down that issues. The clerk said, "if i gave you a discount it will not do anything, the balance will still be the same after taxes". So there you have it America, I was charged $83.00 on my discovery card for a room that i took a shower in. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone until they can updated that resources, and not just the paint. P.S. the elevator aroma was........ challenging.
