“Our Bi-Yearly Visit to see our son and grandchildren”

We had a reservation, made sure your people understood I had recently had hip replacement and could NOT CLIMB STAIRS! Since we were staying three days we also needed a refrigerator. When we were going to be late, I called to let your people know. When we arrived at 8:00 pm, the time we had told them, they did not have a room for us. She tried to give us an upstairs room, then tried to give us an outside room with no fridge. It was crazy! I asked her why we needed a reservation if she was going to give our reserved room away. She said, "They came first." When I ask if they had a reservation, she said "NO, but they came first." I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. I was upset...we had traveled a long way, my hip was hurting, and I needed a bath and bed. Finally, she said, "Well, I can give you a squite for the same price." We took it...there were some problems there too...it was a non-smoking room that smelled like thick smoke, so we bought Febreze and sprayed it good every day. The back air conditioner had to be turned on high to cool the front (since that one had been removed), the door did not lock properly, the toilet handle had to be jerked up and held to flush, and the shower went from hot to cold throughout one's shower! But, we finally settled in and ended up staying an extra day. We have stayed in your facility many times throughout the past five years and hope to continue to do so...we have decided not to let this one bad time change all the good times. We enjoyed our son and grandchildren very much so the trip was good.Tenoha Templeton
