“If you love awful hotel stays, then have at it!”

First off, the only reason my sister and I picked this hotel was because it was the closest to our event for the weekend. Anyways, we got there around 11am and we asked if there was any way we could check in early. The person at the front desk was SO rude and huffed and puffed when I asked about the details of the room to make sure it's what we booked (I've had problems before when booking online that they bump me into a completely different room). She said that there was no one there to clean a room, but with the 5 cars in the parking lot, I KNOW there were rooms that were clean. Because of the event we had that evening, we didn't even get to check into our hotel room until almost 10pm. On top of us being tired from driving to St. Louis that morning and not being able to check into a room that I paid for, the front staff that night as again AWFUL. She was rude and in my opinion had no idea what she was doing. When we were FINALLY in the room, we just wanted to go to bed. The room we got had a king and sofa bed (I had the sofa bed). First off, the sofa bed ISN'T a bed. It's a thin piece of garbage that they wouldn't even give to a prison inmate. Secondly, there were no sheets in the room for the sofa bed and when we went to ask for some, the front desk hesitated on giving us these. Oh, and we had to beg for an extra pillow (which was air in a pillowcase). The next morning, we needed a bath towel and the front desk didn't even know what one was!! She gave us a hand towel and told us that it was a bath towel. Seriously?! Anyways....on to breakfast. They had a waffle maker, which was the only nice thing about the place. They put a limit to the eggs and sausage you could get, which is absurd. Oh, and to put the cherry on top, I slipped and fell in the lobby carrying my luggage to the car because they were MOPPING at CHECK-OUT time!! Seriously?! There were probably close to a dozen people in the lobby and 3 or 4 came to ask me if I was okay, but not ONE of them was an employee. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy and my sister and I will be paying the extra $20-30 the next time we go to St. Louis and give our money to an establishment who deserves it!
