“Poorly Managed Hotel”

  , Mc Lean
I made my reservation 1/11/13 to stay at the Days Inn, Omaha, NE from 6/12/13 - 6/16/13. I received a confirmation email from the manager then the next day received another confirmation from the manager and they had changed my rate by $30 higher. Then I called on 6/10/13 to confirm all was ok only to find out I didn't have the room I had requested back in January. After hours of arguing and having to scan proof of reservations to the manager, they told me they would fix it and I would have the room I requested when I checked in on 6/12/13. We arrived at the hotel and we were given the correct room reserved. Everything was going fine, until two days later we are relaxing in between baseball games and a manager knocks on our door and asks why we haven't checked out yet? We explain to him that we are reserved for two more days. He says ok and we go about our day. The next day we come back to relax in between games only to find ourselves locked out again!!! Ok...now I've had it!! I tried REALLY hard to not yell at the girl behind the desk knowing it wasn't her fault while asking to speak with the original gentleman that made my reservations...the manager Russell. He conveniently wasn't available. The front desk girl made switches and we ended up staying in the room we had been in for our final night. On the following day, I asked for a late checkout because we had two games and I wanted to be able to relax in between them. Front desk said No Problem. We get back from the first game and we are "Locked Out"! Yep...this hotel is HORRIBLE when making reservations!!! Also, they have a beautiful courtyard that is not maintained at all! The pool was dirty every day until they finally had to come clean it because little kids had accidents in it. I find it very upsetting that poor management leads to destoying the opportunity of a building/company that could be very successful. I will never stay at this hotel again...and I know I spoke with others that had the same problem we did.
