“kind of dated, but good value”

  , Winnipeg
I pulled up thinking the location in proximity to a major highway would be a problem. Wrong on the first count. I thought that the room we were given in proximity to the fitness center and Main Lobby would be noisy. Wrong on the second count. I really expected that the hotel would be noisy (there were even youth wrestlers staying there for a major competition) but I found it very quiet and restful. I have difficulty sleeping because of a back injury but found I slept through the night and had NO back pain in the morning. A great bed! An unusual thing given the amount of hotels we have stayed at the pat year or so. The room was dated and a little tired, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the typical fare, nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about. Given the snow storm it would have been impossible for the staff to keep the entrance and lobby any cleaner. Just as the staff cleaned up in comes another traveler hauling in a mess. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and even tipped us off to a great restaurant.
