Great location for the event we were attending at the convention center.... however....The smoke-free hotel smelled absolutely terrible. My entire bag of clothes, many of which never even left the bag, smelled like I was a smoker by the time we left. The cleaning staff came in the room and spread her smoke-filled jacket on our couch while she worked. Some excuse of "it was the FEMA people" was given, which was hilarious. It was the same in almost every room I was in (we were with a team of eight families). While the kitchenette was very convenient... The sign above my sink that said the hotel staff doesn't wash dishes was disturbing. I'm sure the previous occupant spent a lot of time making sure the glasses, plates, and utensils were spotless for me (right?). Thus, we used the paper cups in the bathroom. The "gym" was used for storage, and was completely full of chairs. It wasn't able to be used at all, so I had to join a local gym a mile away so I could exercise while I was there. This survey wants to know how I liked the continental breakfast... ? If there was one, we didn't know about it, and I can't imagine where they would have had it. We went out to breakfast every day. While I fully understand that we were there way off-season in mid-February, the smell and services were way off-base for any hotel experience.
