Luckily the desk clerk you are claiming all these things about is here as I respond and I had her read this posting and give me her side of the story. Prior to us doing our pool resurfacing project I informed all desk clerks that anyone with reservations who wishes to cancel for this reason we will do so regardless of cancel policy. She informed me that not at any point when you were informed of the pool closure did you express any desire to switch properties, which we could not do directly, but could cancel and allow you to search for other accommodations. She says shortly after entering the room you did complain that the smell and noise from the construction was a bother and you asked to be moved to a smoking room, she gladly accommodated that request. I made the adjustment for you upon checkout from poolside rate to standard room rate. There is no compensation due and now that you are aware of our local rent policy, it is at your discretion whether or not to stay here, we do the authorization as a means of keeping local residents out who are not staying in a motel/hotel for the right reasons. « hide

Thank you for taking time to review our property. We are glad to be able to provide a fridge in all guest rooms for our guests, but unfortunately fridges have motors and fans that are going to make ambient noise. For most people it is not a factor, but i can understand that a light sleeper may be affected by even the most minimal noises. As far as the breakfast, it runs daily from 6 - 9:30, if you are here during those hours of operation we have muiltiple choices of cereal, cinnamon rolls or muffins, and fresh fruit is always available, among the other selections provided to help our guests jump start their day. « hide

For the budget conscience traveler I think we provide amenities and service well above the room cost. We were in the process of installing our new LCD TVs during the time of your stay, if your room was not yet upgraded, that is an additional feature you'll have to look forward to on your next trip to/through Albuquerque. « hide

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I knew you would be posting this review and I am so glad I get the chance to respond to it. The room you expected to have was 2 queen sized beds and a pull out sofa, there has never been a room of this type at this property and there is NO official hotel booking website that states otherwise. I even informed you that if you could provide me any electronic communication showing that you paid for a room with this description, I'd personally make it happen for you. And in addition to that, NOWHERE will you find anything stating that we provide a full hot breakfast, every official website will say continental breakfast. It's hard to keep this from being a personal attack, but when you bad mouth my property because you read what you wanted to read, or heard what you wanted to hear, I'm going to defend the facts as I know them to be as I put in a great deal of time and research reviewing our property descriptions not only on our official website, but also on 3rd party websites to make sure our guests are completely aware of what they are to receive when choosing to stay at this Days Inn location. « hide
