“We won't stay here again.”

The staff/ management are very friendly and helpful. This is all I can say about this hotel that is positive. I had requested a pet friendly room and a room furthest away from the freeway. We were put in the back of the hotel in a room that stank of urine and damp. The carpet was covered in stains, and when I bent down to pick something up there was an overwhelming smell of urine in one corner. The door had at one point been the victim of someone trying to break in. There was no screen on the window, and one of the window locks was broken off. One of the comforters had a tear in it and the sheets and pillow cases had a variety of stains on them. The bathroom surprisingly was very clean and modern. All the furniture had seen better days.There were some very questionable people hanging out outside, one of whom was acting in a manner that was worrying enough to us ( we were traveling with our two young children) to call the front desk. They did respond quickly and then followed up with us the next morning, to inform us that they had asked the people to leave the hotel. The " continental breakfast" was obviously thought up by someone who has never been to the continent! There was a choice of 2 cereals, batter to make your own waffles, and a basket of oranges among a few other things. We ate next door at the Owl Cafe ( see my review!). We stayed here since other members of our family was also here, but will definitely not return. I will pay double the money per night to ensure a feeling of safety and cleanliness. I hate to write bad reviews, but I guess you get what you pay for!
