“Very disappointed”

  , Edgewater
Have stayed here several times over the past years, but will NOT again. I realize that we travel with a dog, and yes, we do pay extra for this, but the room was in bad shape. First off, musty smell was strong. Wallpaper peeling off in several areas, room poorly vacumned, bathroom floor not washed. One of the beds had a badly stained bedspread that should not have been on the bed, and the pillows were like using a bath towel in a pillowcase. Had we not been so tired from driving 800 miles that day, we certainly would have left. We travel from Florida to New England a few times yearly, have stayed there before, but it has gone way down hill. Breakfast was equally disappointing. We were not the only unhappy travelers: there was a large group of power and tree company men traveling back to Florida from the devastated storm areas of New York, and most of them left the breakfast area, after throwing their coffee, etc., in the trash. It will be a long time before I can trust a Days Inn again. As I said, we travel with a dog, but are careful, considerate guests, and we pay the extra fee. Unable to rate the bathroom/shower--area too dirty to use.
