“dismayed and disappointed”

  , Colorado Springs
The young lady who checked us in was the only positive aspect of our stay at this location..We had just come "off the road" from a very demading and challenging trip through high winds and dust storms (including loss of visibility at times within fifty yards), and were relieved to have completed the first leg of our journey safely. I had made reservations about three weeks prior for the room, as the place we usually stay was booked up already, and having always had good expeiences with DAYS INN I was confident in booking the reservation. Boy was that assumption wrong ! We had another five hundred plus miles to travel with an incoming storm looming for the coming day and I was coutning on the use of the computer to check the road re[port online unfourtunaltely there was an older man quite firmly entrenched at the computer station and quite obviously either a family member or possibly the owner himself? He was quite surley refusing to speak to any one at all including the guest who came in to request an ice bucket because his room didnt have one, or to move slightly to allow me to get ther Wyndham Rewards brochure so I could refer to it for phone numbers in case we were stranded the next day along the way. I was not able to retieve the brochure untill the desk clerk spoke swarply to him in another language. and he gruduingly shifted just enough to allow me access to the brouchure from above the computer. After watching all the news reports we could we decided to leave early to try to beat the worst of the weather so I went to office to check out about six am in the hope that there might at least be some fruit or something available early that we could take and was once again dismayed and by now - angry to find the office LOCKED and a hand-written note stating:"CLOSE- OPEN 6 30 "I will NEVER EVER stay at this motel again!!PS we didnt make it all the way home the next day either.....
