“the hotel itself could use some cosmetic work. The repairs...”

the hotel itself could use some cosmetic work. The repairs that were done were done poorly and it is obvious. needs new paint, new bathroom fixtures and new carpet or a good shampooing of the carpets. Not only were the rooms marginally clean the hallways were suspect. The breakfast area seemed to be the cleanest part of the building. The pool water was cloudy and dirty looking (kind of grey). For the price the hotel would have been acceptable if it hadn't been for the impression that this hotel is now home to some of the locals. the pool area was occupied by loud children at all hours of the day, the lobby seemed to be the gathering/lunch place for those who live there and the breakfast area was as well occupied for hours by what I can only conclude to be a group of families and individuals living at the hotel.
