“Good Value for the Money”

  , Ridley Park
We only stayed at the hotel one night on our way home. The rooms we had were very adequate and clean - a good value for the price. The air conditioning worked very well, the bathroom, although small, was adequate and clean, although the lighting could have been brighter, and the room, with two double beds, was a good size. The hotel could improve it's look considerably by recarpeting the elevator (very dirty and shabby) and painting the elevator door trim and stairwell door and other access doors on the bedroom floors (we were on the second floor). The white paint was dingy and black with scuff marks. These were the first things we saw getting on and off the elevator, and make a bad first impression even before getting to the room. It would also be nice to have a table and some chairs in the room for playing card games (we had to sit on the bed to play). The breakfast room is large since it was a former restaurant, and there was a good variety and quality of food (waffles, bagels, bread, English muffins, and cereal, as well as eggs). Packets of peanut butter for protein and also some fruit (like orange and grapefruit sections) would be nice additions. There was apple and orange juice, although it was pretty anemic. Overall, we enjoyed our night's lodging and will probably stay there again next year as we pass through the area.
