“anniversary weekend, annual trip since 2000”

Have to give a thumbs up to the night shift Christine and Mike. They were probably tired of me calling once a week asking for a King room. When we booked there were only double beds. Not a problem but would have preferred King. We ended up with doubles, it was fine. Christine and Mike were great every time I called. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water both days. Ample parking.Now the cons: too small of a lobby to have breakfast area. Just getting a drink you have to dodge people and tables. Smallest continental breakfast I've come across. Not that it was bad. The waffles were good. It would be nice to have two different types of bagels, plain is safe. Biggest issue is the toaster. It is a two slice and does not toast. Does not matter what setting or how high it's on. Was told to put slice cut out for browning. Tried that next day, still no luck. Spend some money, buy a decent brand 4 slice toaster to keep things moving. Very backed up waiting and still not toasted. Like eating warm dough. Something simple to replace and make us happy. Easy fix.Sleeping: I am a very light sleeper, I don't think people realize how loud voices carry in a hallway. We were on the 2nd floor close to the hallway steps. Never good, people coming in late, loud, in and out, slamming doors. Not that staff can control this on 2nd floor so I blame this on inconsiderate guest. Our friends in next room had problems with this too.
