“This place is a DUMP - Bad Customer Experience”

I had a late arrival and it took the girl behind the desk over 25 minutes to check me in. She blamed this on her computer being what she called "ignorant." She called someone else down who appeared to be the manager or owner, though he wasn't dressed this way. I finally got my room keys and when I got to the room not only did my non-smoking room smell like smoke, but it was in need of a major renovation. The carpet was all discolored and stained and the overall appearance was pretty gross. We didn't have any bath towels in our room so I called the front desk to ask that two be brought down. She told me that she can't deliver anything to the rooms after 11:00. Fine - I can almost accept this as being a safety precaution. So I went to pick up the towels, the guy (manager?) and his girlfriend? plus the desk girl was still there...now why couldn't someone bring the towels to my room if that is the case?! My husband and I were exhausted, so we just crashed and checked out the next day even though we were prepaid for two nights through the Wyndham points program. I would never stay or recommend this place. It's as if this place was built and never updated or cleaned. I'm surprised we didn't see bugs to be honest.
