“DO NOT STAY”

  , Wilkesboro
When you first walk in it smells like a bar at closing time, smoky. When we got up the stairs to go to our room it smelled like a group had a beer party and spilled half their beer in the hall. Cheesy bedspread and very flat pillows. Luckily I travel with my own pillow and my husband was glad I convinced him to bring his along. It took the hot water at least 15 minutes to come through the pipes. Don't count on eating any kind of breakfast that is going to keep you full for longer than 30 minutes. The hair dryer did not work. I had to run down to the front desk to get one. The cost was outrageous for that one night! I paid $20 less for a competitors room in Asheboro the next night that was much nicer and the only complaint I had for them is they had no peanut butter or cream cheese. I told my husband next year when we have to stay in this area I don't care if we have to stay 10 to 20 miles away I will not stay here again!
