“Old, and creaky”

  , Ukiah
Not what I am used to in a Days Inn, this old hotel was like something in a Steven King movie. Long narrow hallways, an elevator that creaked and jolted on it's way up the hotel's 3 floors. The room looked OK, but the floor creaked in several places as I walked to the bed, which was old, and hard, with pillows that were cheap and uncomfortable. The bathroom and shower were equally old, and outdated, with rust marks on the tub. The TV was an older model, and limited channels, and I had to lean over to one side in the bed to change the channels. The old vinyl chair was comfortable enough, but squeaked so loud each time I moved in it that I couldn't hear the TV. The woman at the office was nice, and when I asked if they had WiFi, she said yes and gave me the code for it, but unfortunately the WiFi signal in the room was so weak I could not connect to the internet. The price at about $50 was cheap enough, but for the quality of the place, it was about $50 too much. I would have had better nights sleep in my car.
