“poor service”

Prior to arrival,I called to confirm reservation and was told there was none in my name,even though I spelled it three times!!!!So I retrieved my confirmation # and called back only to be told,Oh yes we do have a reservation for you,with not even an apology as if this is the norm.While on the phone was quoted a cheaper rate than originally booked a few weeks earlier.When asked if I would get cheaper rate upon arrival the lady sure,we will adjust it upon check-in.Upon checking in,noticed that the guy at desk printed contract for higher rate,than was quoted 2 days prior.When asked why he is not giving me current cheaper rate he says he can't and would have to see a manager.After being in room for a few hours notice that AC is not working,so I go to front desk to report it.While waiting to report faulty AC,the customer in front of me is able to walk off the street,and book same room as me for $25 less,I say to myself what's up with that.When I ask the front desk he says there is nothing he can do for me.He does however give us a new room with a functioning AC,which I appreciate.I have travelled all over the world and have had any issue solved by the front desk,so upon check out and I had to see a manager was the first.She was shocked that the front desk could not accommodate me,and adjusted the room rate.One more thing,can Days Inn maybe afford a $10 sign to put at the entrance by the street.Traffic can go left or right around the pool,but nobody is sure if arriving which way to go and while there witnessed a few near miss accidents.Was dropped off to hotel twice by taxi,first time he entered on right,second time on left,and this path is very narrow.Please invest in a sign before someone gets hurt.
