“Bad, Bad Service”

When my husband checked in the front desk staff gave him a towel because they said the room was short one. Actually, the room had the towel but it was laying on the floor dirty. Apparently the office staff allowed someone to shower in our room moments before we checked in. Little did I know that I actually passed by the gentleman that used the room. When I looked in the shower there were small, black, curly hairs that either came from his chest or genital area. Is it policy to rent rooms that have been used and are not cleaned. When I asked for a new room and I told them why, I never got an apology and they actually asked me to make sure the room was presentable enough to rent to another individual. I had to argue with them and they finally put down that the room was not rentable. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally rude and it appeared that she had no clue on how to operate the computer system and she kept complaining that she could not get the printer to work. When I entered the second, rented room the tub had a dead bug in it and the toilet barely flushed. It will take me years to forget my experience at the Days Inn in Shelby, NC. My suggestion is to hire a new staff and to make sure they are trained on how to use a computer and printer. You may wish to exterminate the building for bugs and update the plumbing. It will be a long time before I stay at a Days Inn again.
