“Overall pleasant stay”

  , Forked River
I had booked a non-smoking room for two nights. When I arrived to check-in, I was told that there was only a smoking room availabe. Apparently, there was a high school band competition in town and everything was booked. The man at the desk apoligized and asked me if I would like to inspect the room before committing to see how smoky it actually was, and gave me the key. I checked it out and it did smell like smoke. However, as nothing was available there or any of the other hotels in the area, I decided to take the room. I opened the window to air it out and it was fine. He offered to move me to a non-smoking room for the second night, but I just stayed put. The room was clean, however, the alarm clock was smashed up and the buttons didn't work. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but , unfortunately, we couldn't use it due to all of the high school band members in it. Free breakfast was fine. Internet worked great when I first arrived, but as the hotel became more crowded, it stopped working. I guess it was overloaded.
