“Days Inn - Mentor, OH”

Needed two single rooms at midnight. Walked in to be greeted with the statement "I only have single smoking rooms available". There was no greeting or attempt to find out my need before the male clerk yelled that info to me. I stated I needed two single rooms and I would take the Smoking Room if there were rooms available with Non Smoking. It seemed like the clerk was attempting to talk me out of the two rooms because he kept saying there is only one bed and it is a smoking room. Finally I asked him if he wanted me to go elsewhere. He said well I really only have one room. I then said I needed two so I would go somewhere else when he said I guess I'll give you the room that is reserved but a no show. The lobby, stairwells and hallways were dirty and dusty. The remote had dead batteries and I had to go to the lobby where it took 5 minutes to find batteries. In the morning when I checked out of both rooms, a different male clerk did not greet me or ask me how the stay was. He seemed very annoyed that I needed receipts about both rooms.
