“I cannot make this stuff up!”

  , Bettendorf
My company requires us to stay here so thats why I was there for a 2nd time (and willing to give the benefit of the doubt). The staff was always very nice, but they were simply unable to help as these issues were beyond their immediate control!Internet was down. TV only got every other channel that it was supposed to get (some no sound). The heating unit in the room actually sounded like a car idling (it was so loud that people could hear it when I was on the phone with them)... and then it sounded like a car with a loose belt and started to squeel. I actually had to turn off the heat (in Iowa in February) and sleep in my clothes because it was so loud.Where the bathroom ceiling vent cover was there was now just a hole. The rooms seem to alternate smoking and non so the hallway tended to smell very smokey. The time before this that I stayed there I had a small hole from water damage in my bathroom wall, the shower curtain had a large brown spot that could only be described as looking A LOT like blood and there was no hot water "Cause the hotel is full". They seem to have given up the idea of getting the indoor pool working again and have now just papered over the windows and no longer mention that there is a pool.Have mentioned all of these comments to the hotel staff (who are very nice by the way!) and in direct reviews to the hotel chain. The staff tried the best they could but many issues were outside of their own abilities, but the hotel chain does not seem to care and has never responded to my reviews.
