“Most economical for a decent room close to DePaul School of Music”

  , Saginaw
My wife, my daughter, and I paid a visit to DePaul's School of Music, which is about a mile away (a 2-block walk to the west, and a bus ride south). We were all about economy on this trip. We took a Megabus into Chicago's Union Station, and took a $14 taxi ride to the hotel. Still, we have standards, and while this Days Inn won't win any awards for architecture or modern rooms or great views, our primary purpose for this stay was to get a good night's sleep and a nice hot shower in the morning, which this facility excelled at. My wife is an asthmatic and suffers from allergies, but she exhibited no symptoms during our stay here.I'd have probably gone a little stir crazy if I'd had spent more than an hour while awake in our room. But, hey, it's Chicago! You don't come here to sit in a hotel! This facility is in a lively neighborhood, and we walked a few blocks to the east to catch the bus that goes down the lakefront. Assuming you don't mind walking a little bit (and planning on fair weather, of course), this Days Inn is in a decent location. The wireless internet connection was flaky and slow, finally gave up using it. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus, and saved us time and money.
