“Quick Stay”

  , Washington, Dc
I stayed overnight at this hotel because it was the least expensive name brand hotel near Fallingwater. I originally signed up for two nights, but due to an emergency at home could only stay one. The staff were very gracious and let me stay the one night, without charging me for the second I would not be able to use.I would describe the rooms as very "bare bones". Everything was very clean, but everything was well worn and a little shabby. The mattress felt and very wiry. The sink drained slowly, and there was little water pressure in the shower. I kept bumping into the hangers of the closet because there wasn't a closet - just special hanger bar with hotel hangers hanging from it posted on the wall. The location is right by the interstate and you could hear the trucks all night long. I didn't mind that, it was a nice masking noise - but it was there. The people that I spoke to were very nice.I was unable to partake of the free breakfast so I cannot review it because when I checked out at 8am the tables in the breakfast nook were full. Normally I would just grab a bite and then leave, however, because the tables were full, you couldn't walk to the breakfast bar because there were no pathways. Perhaps the breakfast bar should be in a location that is not completely blocked when people have breakfast. The other issue I had was trying to get onto the internet using a Kindle. I imagine that there is a special site that your computer automatically directs to from a computer, but I couldn't figure out how to get there using my Kindle (you had to do something more than choose the Days Inn as the WiFi Connection in Settings), and there weren't directions in the folder left in the room. What I liked best was that the bed was clean, the employees were nice, and it cost with tax and fees about $60 to stay there. My least favorite parts were the inability to get breakfast without upending tables and customers, not being able to use the wi-fi, and the ambiance. It also takes about an hour to drive from there to Fallingwater, so I don't know if I would characterize it as a nearby hotel.
