“Visit to Swarthmore College Basketball Tourney”

  , Falmouth
This is a motel that felt like a return to the 60s. I am not accustomed to staying in a room almost adjacent to a four lane highway. I was in a non-smoking room and although I did not smell any smoke, my bedspread had several cigarette holes in it. I did not find that attractive at all. I appreciate it when a facility offers free wifi - but when it is not reliable it might as well not be there as it is more of an irritant than a help. The ONLY highlight of my stay was the van to the airport. The driver was extremely pleasant and helpful. He took me to the rental car company and gave me detailed instructions on how to go to the places that I wanted to visit. I was there to attend a basketball tournament at Swarthmore. My daughter is a college coach who had her entire team at this Days Inn. Her room was totally unacceptable. She was tired and yet there was LOUD music being played immediately under her room until at least midnight. When she complained she was told there was nothing the front desk could do as they didn't own the restaurant that was completely attached to the motel. The clerk didn't offer an alternative room OR to refund money spent on that room. I don't know if there was some other remedy made available in the morning from the manager. I didn't ask my daughter. I just know she had difficulty getting to sleep. Because I was so disappointed in the facility I left a day early.I didn't know there was complimentary breakfast. I was not told about it nor did I see it. I went to the restaurant attached to the inn my first morning. Although the food was OK the service was marginal and there were only 2 customers there - myself and one other. I thought I should have been able to easily get a coffee refill but that was not the case.
