“A good place to stay if you're out all day.”

  , London
It's a small hotel tucked away in the Beaches area and we've been here three other times. Definitely good if you are staying out all day and just want to sleep when you get back, as it is too small to have a pool, etc. A good pub and several small restaurants nearby. Transit by bus or streetcar right outside the door. Soundproofing could be better, as guests arriving at their rooms can be heard, at least on the first floor. Parking area is right outside and we have used it in the past, but with the outstanding public transit we did not travel by car this time. Intimate and cozy describes the place overall. Small breakfast nook had three wobbly tables, the continental breakfast was good quality, but nothing fancy. The only trouble we had was the second night of our stay when we came in later in the evening and found that our key cards would not function properly. It took the clerk several tries with the device to get them activated again, and then they would only work after two or three tries. If you book early enough, you can get a good deal on a room, but expect to pay downtown prices if you book closer to your arrival date. Don't expect anything fancy, just a good place to lay your head, then get up and go out to the sights of Toronto.
