“Poor service, rooms need a real cleaning”

I called at 3:30pm to confirm my reservation. When I called, the phone was answered, "Hello?" I asked if this was Days Inn. The guy said, "ya." I confirmed my reservation as I would be arriving mid-evening. I then called around 7:30pm (once again, the same man answered with 'hello') and I asked if they were on the north bound or south bound access road. The man read the street address. I confirmed that I had the street address but I needed to know whether it was north or south bound. He read the street address again. I realized that he didn't know what "north" and "south" meant. English was obviously his second language. I was able to find the location on my own.I checked in and the lady at the desk also seemed to speak limited english. When I went to the room, it was generally cleaned as long as you didn't look too closely. There was trash behind the furniture and lots of cobwebs in the corners. The TV remote didn't work. There was shampoo but no conditioner. I called the front desk and they said they didn't have any conditioner. When I left the next morning, I asked the man on duty (different than the previous evening) directions on how to get over to the Love's gas station. He didn't know. He said I would have to drive down the interstate for a while and turn around. When I left, I could clearly see that there was a road that connected them in the back. I will not stay there again and would not recommend this location. Very poor and unknowledgable service. Rooms really need to be clean.
