“Terrible Service/Terrible Pick-up Package”

My family & I stayed at the Days Inn Pgh Airport for 1 night. We did the Fly & Stay Package. The rooms are average at best. The clerk that checked us in wasn't very friendly at all. There is 4 of us so we had total of 10 bags. No one there to help us with our luggage up to our room. When I checked in I asked the clerk to give us a 4:30am wake-up call since our flight the next morning was leaving at 7:00am. Good thing that I set the alarm on my phone because they never did give us the wake-up call. They told us when we come back into Pgh Airport to call them after we collect our luggage and the shuttle would be right over to get us. So that is what we did. The manager told me the driver would be there in about 15 min. Waited 20 min. no shuttle so I called again. Same manager told me he should be there any minute. Waited another 10 min. Meanwhile it's cold out and we're waiting outside with our luggage. All other shuttles that were picking people up came and left and returned again to pick up additional passengers and we are still WAITING! I called again asking where our driver was. This time the manager told me he stopped to fill up his gas tank. We were furious! They have our information in regard to our flight time on our return when we checked into the hotel. Don't you think they would be ready knowing we are going to need picked up. So bottom line is we waited a total of 1 hour for our driver to pick us up. It is only a 10 min. ride from Airport to hotel so it took our driver 50 minutes to get gas - unbelievable! And the tank wasn't even full - my husband was sure to point that out to the driver. As soon as we returned to the hotel, I went to the front desk to speak to the manager about our situation and he just smiled and sorta laughed like stuff like this can happen and there was nothing he could do about it. I thought we deserved some sort of credit, but he said there was nothing he could do. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE!! UNRELIABLE SERVICE!! What a way to end a great vacation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL! STAY AWAY!!
