“The Experienced Traveler Says: This Location Has The Potential To Be More”

This hotel is in a prime location situated next to Cracker Barrel, which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants, and is just off of Highway 35E. For this hotel to be recently renovated, I expected a little bit more. Don't get me wrong, I got a great deal on a 6 night stay by going through USAA, however, this location has the potential to be better than what it is. They don't have automatic sliding doors at the front, instead there were two sets of traditional doors that required you to push and then struggle through with your luggage in tow. The elevator was rickety, slow, had various marks inside, and shook when you rode on it. Most of the staff that I encountered during my 6-night stay were in dire need of some customer service classes, especially the one who asked me all of my personal information upon check-in with another guest (who happened to be male) standing at the desk next to me. I asked him to merely write down my room number for safety purposes (because I was already not feeling safe, being that I was staying there alone), and he still announced it while handing my key card to me. I couldn't wait to get to room the and seek solace at this point. The Daybreak continental breakfast was lacking as well as the cleanliness of the room, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Still, I saved a lot of money by choosing this hotel as opposed to some of its competitors in the area. I would contemplate staying here again, if just to save money...but only if there is someone else traveling with me.
