The hotel was decent... Small room, very basic. The breakfast was basic as well but for the price.. Was worth it. However, on the last night of our stay, we returned back to the room to find that BOTH of our keys had been deactivated. Being that it was both of our keys, & mine was left untouched in a bag all day.. It obviously wasn't due to any malfunction or water, etc. I think the hotel just deactivated them a day early accidentally. Ok, mistakes happen. So my husband left my EXHAUSTED children & myself sitting in the floor outside of the room to go down to the front desk. When he told them the problem, the simply issued him new keys without even asking for ID. That was ridiculously unsafe & disappointing. The hotel would have gotten a 4 rating based on my expectations... I didn't expect the Ritz. However, I'm giving a 2 based on that experience because even at a budget Inn, staff should use common sense to ensure the safety of guests. I didn't expect elaborate accommodations but I did expect safe accommodations for my children.
