“Kinda scary”

  , Pa
Booked a non-smoking jacuzzi room. Was called the day before and told the building with the non-smoking rooms had no power due to weather, but agreed to go anyway as many hotels were still without power. Needless to say, the room smelled terribly. I always bring bleach and when I cleaned the room there wasn't too much dirt, but the smell didn't go away. The bedspread and curtains obviously do not get changed often as they reeked, and the bedspread had cigarette burns (could have handled the burns, but not the odor...just plain filthy) Couldn't get the jacuzzi started, called the desk and within minutes someone showed up and it worked...we just had to push the button harder. There was always hot water and the jacuzzi was wonderful. There was one chair at the desk and a smelly loveseat. Later the first night we went to a concert. Upon returning, the parking lot was full of utility repair vehicles. The workers were staying in the non-smoking rooms. They could have told me that utility workers get first pick due to their schedules rather than lie to me. The parking lot was rather scary. A lot of weird-looking people in and out...noticed them because we frequently opened the door to let the stink out. The window actually opened which was nice...don't find that too much anymore. Breakfast was a joke. Watered down juice and cereal. There was also a slice of white bread and a bagel to choose from. Would not stay there again.
