“Really?”

First, I called the 800 number we were given for our group reservation. I was told that no such Days Inn existed. The only highlight of this trip was Michelle that worked at the Front Desk at the Shrewsbury Days Inn. When I called directly to the hotel, she couldn't get into our group reservation because we needed to go thru the number I called that said Shrewsbury didn't exist, but that the reservation would open up on Sat. and she would call me back personally and book a room for me. She did exactly as she said. However, when we walked in to check in, the manager was arguing with a customer after she was given a smoking room (really - these still exist?) and her two asthmatic children had attacks and then the room he was moving her to was occupied (by people from our group party). He was beyond rude and I couldn't believe this was a manager. Next, we wanted to obtain a second room but the person checking us in said I would need to talk to the manager to see if any rooms were opened. After he returned, I had to say "excuse me" after standing several minutes in front of him. He said no rooms were open. I found out why, because he had to keep moving people around the building. Including people from our party who had pictures of the moldy tubs, stained sheets, etc. Our room appeared to be an upgraded room, but the other rooms with our party were disgusting.
