“AWFUL experience”

When I showed the desk representative my PRINTED CONFIRMATION directly FROM the DAYS INN website she said "OH, well I have you for a King size smoking."I was booked for king size non-smoking, and kindly told her that there must be a mistake. She said "Yeah that happens sometimes, you were booked for a smoking room" and she continued to belittle myself and my boyfriend, despite us having proof of our reservation. She then continued to list ALL of the websites that would book us TELLING us we would receive a certain service, and then provide us with ANYTHING they have available. I told her I worked DIRECTLY thru the company website and she gave an eyeroll and said "yeah, whatever"Seriously? The room was sub-par, which wouldn't have been as glaring if the service from the hotel representative wasn't so degrading. She went out of her way to take her bad day out on us- which was not appreciated after travelling 2 hours for a funeral.
