“A bed”

Well, if all you wanted was a bed to sleep in, it was fine. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The working refrigerator in the room was also a happy surprise. The television and the phone did not work. When I was hunting around to make sure they were both plugged in, wiggling wires made a lamp in the room turn on and off. I see not having a phone as a safety issue and the lamp mysteriously turning on and off made me worry about possible electrical problems. Since I didn't have a room phone, I had to walk to the office to report the issues and ask for assistance. Although the receptionist was pleasant, she had nothing to offer in the way of a solution for any of my problems. She didn't even have extra batteries for me to put in the TV remote to see if that was the problem. The Wifi did work and we used that to watch a movie. The final straw was waking up in the morning to find that my 13 year old son could not turn the water on to take a shower. I went in and using all of my strength was able to turn it on. I told him not to turn it off when he was done so that I could take a shower without needing to turn it on again. To make matters even worse, the temperature of the water fluctuated wildly while I was taking my shower and the hot and cold labels were reversed on the handle. The only thing that made this a reasonable experience was that we were both very tired from a full day of activity and fell asleep.
