“Customer service would not deal with a crew and prostitutes next door”

While staying there the weekend of May 16th, there was a load crew staying two doors down. The first night this was tolerated. The second night they brought in a prostitute. The noise kept my 15 year old daughter awake.I called the 1 800 number to get a room change. They put me on hold, came back on the line and said that there were no other rooms, and the hotel was dealing with it. I asked how they were dealing with, were they being kicked out? The answer was " no, they are not being kicked out, but they are dealing with it". I said that was unacceptable, that I wasn't going to tolerate another porn show with my family. She reiterated they are dealing with it. Frustrated, I hung up.I phoned back to the 1 800 number asked for a reservation for the weekend. They had space and it was booked (?). Cancellation was by 4PM. We went back to the hotel at 3PM. I talked to the front desk, they reiterated that they were dealing with it. I told them thanks, but that I wanted a different room. They obliged and moved us two stories up. The next morning I learned that the RCMP were brought to the room that was causing the problem, this time they were smoking pot and being inappropriate with some of the other 15 year old girls at the elevator. So glad I didn't take their word for it when they said they were "dealing with it". Getting back to the reservation I made through the 1 800 number. I phoned into the 1800 number before 4 (ie as soon as we got to the new room) and asked to cancel the reservation. They couldn't find it. I knew this was going to end up in a hassel down the road, so I asked here to check it under misspelt names, credit card info (which she couldn't do). Checked my credit card this morning, and guess what. There is an additional charge for a second room (ie the reservation was made, and was not cancelled).So now I'm dealing with the desk to have this charge removed.
