“Needs management supervision from corporate”

  , Dickinson
We arrived late after 10:30pm. Reservation could not be located which I had made from the Days Inn web for 52.00. Cell phone was dead and I could not pull up my reservation by phone. So, they charged me the $70.00 rate. which did not set well for me or my friend because we had to stay for the week. No explanation for the daily $1.50 charged for a safety box which was finally explained after we checked out on Saturday. Please ask your front desk to explain these additional charges when checking in. The second night we found the bathtub in horrible condition with black mildew from the ceiling of the shower to the walls. It needed attention. I informed the front desk the next morning and they bleached the whole bathroom including my nightclothes hanging on the hook. Bleach and black pajamas do not go well together. Good news was the black mildew was gone. Pajamas destroyed. The front desk staff need training in the hospitality service of greeting guest with a smile and making eye contact. Everyone seemed busy or otherwise distracted with other issues. When I asked for an extension for checkout we were refused. We were volunteers for the National Convention for Council for Exceptional Children and we were needing to wrap up things at a booth we were volunteering at. But no one seemed to care. I have stayed at other Days Inns that the military have assigned for my family but this is one that I will definitely not want to return to. Comforters on bed for old and torn and smell. The room was damp and musty smelling. As stated corporate needs to take a closer look and bring help to this very tired Days Inn. Good luck to all!
