“Second Visit to Albany, NY - 1st stay at this Days INN”

When I arrived Thursday night, 03.07.13 at about 11:00 p.m., I thought the desk clerk was not very cordial. He asked for my credit card and ID. I gave it to him and he hurried through his spill. I was in room 117. Despite giving him my credit card (Discover), I was billed with my ATM card (which was used to hold the reservation ONLY). This caused major inconvenience as I had to go to the bank and redeposit funds to cover the hotel bill so checks would not bounce. Second issue: Twice I asked two different desk clerks to give me wake up calls, 5:00 a.m. and 3:45 a.m., respectively. Twice the wake up calls were WRONG or not at all. The second one most important because I was leaving for a 6:00 a.m. flight. Your staff forgot to change the clocks to Daylight Saving Time. Thankfully, I always have a back-up plan whenver I travel. Boo-hiss on customer service. The only saving grace was a clerk named Alita (phonetic). I called yesterday evening when I arrived home and asked her to refund the hotel charge back to my ATM card and use Discover. I appreciated that she knew how to conduct the transaction; earlier the same day when I called a male clerk informed me that only the manager could process the reversal (Yeah Right).
