“Not Worth It”

  , Virginia Beach
I recently took my girlfriend here for a weekend getaway at the beach. This hotel was rated a "3 star" on a popular travel site, but there's no way this hotel comes close to that. The rooms weren't terrible, as long as you could get over the hair/dirt from whatever guests were there before you. The hallways stayed in a constant state of disarray with trash and dirty everywhere, and the maids seemed to randomly drop their supplies all over the place. The walls are pretty thin and you'll be listening to the people next door, especially if they have kids. Now the good part is, the location is nice. The hotel sits right on the beach and if you don't mind forking out a little extra, you can get an oceanfront room with a great view. Just make sure you get floor 3 and above, as anything lower will be behind the big sand dunes and you won't see anything. Overall, this hotel is definitely not worth the price that was paid...$89 a night from a popular travel site, plus an extra $15 a night to upgrade to an oceanfront room. You'll be much better off saving your money and going for one of the 2.5 star chain hotels that are much better kept and far better value for the money. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to get away to anything decent. And P.S...the internet never worked for the entire 2 nights/3 days we were there.
