“My Elvis visit”

  , Newark
The location is almost directly across the stree from Graceland. The staff was polite. Other than this I have nothing good to say about this hotel. I reserved a room with a King size bed but the room I received was 2 queen beds. One was a sleep number and the other wasn't. Not that it mattered though because the sleep number bed didn't function at all. The sheets on one of the beds had brown spots on it. The air conditioner kept the temperature at about 82 degrees no matter what the temperature was outside so I had to go buy a small fan just to keep cool. We found numerous bugs in the room, some alive, some not so much. When I took the bugs to the front desk I was told "Oh Honey. Those are just "beetle bugs. That's what we call the here down south." The cleaning personnel, as friendly as they were, didn't do much to our room. We left the room and when we rdeturned several hours later they had came in and taken all the dirty towels but hadn't returned with clean ones. The trash bag was emptied but the bag had stuff (soda) stuck on the inside and it stunk, but was not replaced. When we discovered dead flies laying on the air conditioner and the floor near it my wife asked the cleaning lady to come in and vacuum, which she did without complaint. She then went on to say that she didn't have much to do in our room because we made our own beds. Is that all a cleaning person does is make beds (no sheet replacement) empty (not replace) trash bags, and replace dirty towels? The room had a really strong unidentifiable smell so we had to buy a bottle of febreeze to get rid of it. The breakfast area was waaaay too small for the number of people trying to use it. One waffle maker and 12 people waiting. 2 out of 3 toasters functional.
