“Ack!... I guess you get what you pay for...”

I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels. I don't need a luxurious place to sleep, just somewhere that is comfortable, safe, has friendly service, and clean. None of this was the case. When we arrived there was no guest service agent to be found. I waited approximately 10 minutes before someone would come and assist me. She wouldn't even look at me direclty or say hello for that matter. I knew we were early for check in, but I just wanted to inquire about the readiness of our room. I was promptly and rudely told, "I have no rooms available." My family and I left for awhile, came back and shocklingly our room was ready 30 minutes early. During the whole check in process the agent was short, would not look at me directly and hurried me through the process. I did not receive wireless information (found out after checkout and several failed attempts to connect that there was a username and password), directions to my room, amenities, etc... When we found our room, it was open! The room was open! I thought someone else was occupying the room! Turns out this was not the case. The room location was nice; right next to the stairs, but other than that it the pillows were EXTREMELY flat and uncomfortable, there were no fitted sheets on the bed, only flat sheets, our phone did not work, and I am taller than the showerhead in the room (I'm 5'6" tall). We only had 2 towels for three people and no bath mat. Yes, I could've made more of an effort to get the things I needed, but I was so flustered at this point I didn't care. We just made it work. The continental breakfast was not what I expected. Small stale donuts, coffee creamer packets, a dirty dark room where the sink is exposed. I am very aware that this was a free amenity, but I have stayed at several other Days Inn around the west coast that offer the same thing and was pleasantly surpirsed by those locations, so I guess I was expecting the same here. My checkout experience was just the same as the check in. Waited awhile for an agent, no acknowledgement, he was rude and short, and questioned me when I wanted to use cash to pay for my stay. The only good thing I have to say is that this is nice and close to Disneyland and was easy to get in and out of.
