“Worst Stay EVER”

  , Shawnee
Days Inn Mall in Arlington Texas was the WORST trip stay I have EVER had period. My partner and I reserved a room with a king size bed, and when we arrived we were told the king size rooms were all taken... (So much for our reservation) So we were moved to a Queen size bedroom. Upon going to unlock our door, after hours and hours of driving, we find the Queen bedroom doors lock is busted and it can not be opened. SO THEN we are told that there are NO more queen beds available, and we must sleep in a double room. What could be worse then all of this? We quickly found out our hotel is right across (not down the way, not a few roads down, but directly across from an active train track.) All night we get to hear what? YOU GUESSED IT ... Trains. If this wasn't enough, our days in hotel rooms remote didnt work, all the channels were fuzzy, and there were drunk people down below us who laughed all night long. There was a consistent smell of pot every time you left or opened the hotel door to our room, obviously from other ten-dents who were smoking pot below. The icing on the cake, was the fact that what Days-Inn calls breakfast is complete and utter crap. When we got there at 8 there was no hot water, and all they had was cereal (Two kinds, raisin brand, and Fruit loops) Both of which are TERRIBLE in calories. The only other thing offered were bananas and oranges (the oranges were out of season, and tasted terrible.)As for our second night in the hotel, we were locked out of our room, because our keys were deactivated and we already weary from travels and prior dealings of the last day had to go BACK to the office to have them redone. Oh, and our hot water kept running out, we had to litteraly just turn on the hot water, and very little cold or it wound up being a cold shower. This was the worst trip ever. Armstrongs.
