“Thanksgiving Trip”

  , Dunwoody
This reservation was made on the the 21st of the month, two days before arrival. I was told upon check in that "this room is rarely used" and when I arrived, the general appearance etc of the room showed that to be true. There were only towels for perhaps one person, and the hair dryer was missing. The room was stuffy and the windows were stuck. After dinner, we returned to the room quite late, only to find that the knobs to the heating thermostat were broken missing. (That night it reached into the 30's) There were no extra blankets, and when I rang the front desk there was no answer. Later we found roaches had gotten into the leftovers we had wrapped up on the table. Exhausted we went to sleep, only to find that the "Free contiental Breakfast" consisted of coffee, orange juice, stale doughnuts and bagels, and sliced bread. (there was a toaster, but no other way to heat the luke warm coffee). There was NO coffee maker in the room. (as listed with the hair dryer on the web site) The overhead main lighting did not work at all. In addition the "handicap accessiblity" of the room was not up to par. There was no recess in the doorway to allow smooth entrance of a wheelchair and the cubby beside the bed for the chair was totally blocked by the furniture arrangement. Surfice to say, I was much less than impressed with the condition of the our accomodations. I will note that when an item was left behind in the room, a Mr. Patel was vvery helpful in retreiving it from the room and holding it until we were able to pick it up. I was very disappointed in the value for the money of this hotel experinece and felt someone should be made aware.
