“Nastiest room I've ever stayed in”

As a preface, I like Days Inn, they are typically good clean room, for cheap, with quick easy check in. No frills, just exactly what I need. However my recent stay has me questioning ever going back. I was in a rush when I checked in, I threw my luggage in the room, and left to meet my family at the hospital. I did not take the time to check the room.When I returned to my room at around 2am, I was shocked. Initially I found a smashed cockroach on the wall, which is disgusting that something that obvious would not have been seen by the cleaning staff. Then I noticed various stains on the bed spread, and when I say various, I mean at least 4 separate areas, with different stains. Then noticed a build up of dust on the AC unit...it seemed everywhere I looked had something gross about it. Then I went to the restroom, and was in for yet another surprise. After washing my hands, the hand towel had an obvious hair sticking out of it, which got me to look more closely (especially considering the complete lack of cleanliness thus far) and I proceeded to find not 1, not 2, not 3..but 9, yes 9 different hairs in that single hand towel. This led me to actually inspect the rest of the towels, and I did not find a single towel, without at least one obvious hair imbedded in it. Considering the time of night that it was, and how tired I was, I simply retrieved my sleeping bag from my truck (thankfully I had been camping recently) and slept on top of the bed, not in it.The next morning I informed the attendant of the complete lack of cleanliness, and was given a phone number to call to voice my concern, but was still charged full price for the room. I called the number, informed customer service of my experience, and was told that someone would be getting a hold of me via e-mail or phone shortly. That was 4 days ago now, that is not shortly.I don't think based on this single experience, combined with the lack of prompt resolution to my complaints, that I will likely ever stay at a Days Inn again.If you are reading this Days Inn, I'm still waiting to hear from you.
