“Black Mold”

There was a huge spot of black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I understand that there was a storm there but mold does not appear over night. They were aware a pipe busted and should have been actively searching rooms for any damage that was done. We arrived late and went straight to bed so we were unaware of mold until the following morning. When we informed the gentleman at the counter the first thing said was that we should have told them last night so we could have been put in another room. Then we had to wait for him to send someone to verify our story. After all was said and done he refunded half our room. I just feel like there should have been better customer service and that rooms should have been checked before our arrival. We had a reservation. I believe the room they intended for us should have been cleared before we stayed there. On top of everything my 3 year daughter slept in there all night..
