“I paid $46/night - I got $46/night quality”

You get what you pay for. It's a motel style establishment; rooms aren't connected to hallways - just straight to the outdoors. Every time I tried to shower, the water would get hot, then cold, then get hot again, then cold - I had to shower like I did in Europe...only turning the water on to rinse. The whole place is super outdated - TV's are from 1990, exercise room shouldn't even be called that - it has 3 pieces of cardio machinery that were also from the 90's. Nothing seemed to work besides the bike I was on...not even the clock on the wall. The continental breakfast was crap unless you wanted Lucky Charms and biscuits with gravy. The rooms did have a fridge and microwave, so that was nice. You can definitely hear evvvvverything outside your room, including when people were rolling their suitcases...and when people let their children run up and down the hallway repeatedly, screaming. The airport shuttle was awesome, and easy to use. Overall, I felt like I was in a time warp. I kept looking at the Double Tree, Sheraton, and Holiday Inn Express across the street wondering, "Wonder how much they charge and if they have any rooms?" Guess I can't complain though - I only paid $46/night, which is the quality I received. As a female traveling alone, I can't say that I felt super safe. I checked my hotel room thoroughly every time I entered and was often looking over my shoulder to make sure I was completely aware of everything around me. Next time I'll most likely pony up the dough and stay at one of the other hotels in the area.
