“peeling paint and bugs”

  , Midland
I checked in to stay 17 nights, but I only stayed two nights. I had to switch rooms due to cigarette ashes being in the floor, spiders, and bugs crawling on the walls. There were long black hair on the towels. Me and my child do not have black hair. I switched to a 1st floor room and it smelled better, but was worse. I was charged four dollars more per night to switch to a first floor room. There were roaches, water bugs, and cricketts in the room. The bathroom had peeling paint on the walls next to the shower. The bathtub had horrible stains in it. The shower curtian rod was bent and the shower curtian would not stay across the rod and water went everywhere. I had a infant with me and while I was nursing her on the bed, and a large crickett or roach crawled on both of us. I went to fix her a bottle and there were bugs crawling on her bottles. I was terrified that a bug would crawl into her ears or mouth while we slept and I could hardly sleep. The staff at the front desk were very nice but told me that the rooms may not have been deep-cleaned and asked me to inspect the room. I do not feel that it is my job to inspect for cleanliness of a room. They were Indian and spoke rough English and felt like they did not care about my stay. The breakfast was horrible, I tried to eat a bagel in my room and it was so hard and stale that I gave up. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I am traveling with the federal government and will NEVER ever stay at another Days Inn.
