“Indoor pool”; Nov 17, 2012 William T, North Richland Hills; I was there with my kid and we went to the pool. On the way out I noticed a bucket of chlorine next to the patio furniture. Didn't think much of it until the next day when my kid had a rash from chlorine exposure. We swim a lot so it had to either been recently chlorinated and or over chlorinated. Either way pool should have been closed. Luckily he is 9 and was able to adapt and take benadryl and use a local treatment and it went away in a day or so but had he been smaller this could have been a hospital visit.

I am sorry to hear about your son's rash. We do take great pride in keeping our pools open and up to code. We do have a pool company that comes out 3 times per week, as well as a certified pool man that is at the hotels 5 days a week. The bucket may have been out due to our pool man adding chlorine at the time. We keep our pool and hot tub at or below an 8, which is recommended, as well as, enforced by the health department. I will look at the charts filled out daily to make sure that there was not a problem with the pools that weekend. I hope that your son didn't suffer too much with his rash. « hide
